What is PTA Membership?
The OGS PTA helps make so much of what our children experience at school possible, from Curriculum Enrichment and field trips to assemblies, teacher grants, community events, and many of the extras that make OGS such a special place.

And one important thing to know: Joining the PTA does not mean you are signing up to volunteer.

PTA membership simply connects your family to the OGS community. As a member, you receive access to the school directory, event registration, PTA programs, and opportunities to get involved throughout the year, if and when you choose.

There is no volunteer requirement, no committee assignment, and no obligation beyond membership itself.

Membership is renewed each school year

PTA membership is annual, so all families need to renew at the beginning of each school year, even if you joined last year.

Why your support matters

Because Old Greenwich School is a public school, many of the experiences our children enjoy beyond the core school curriculum are made possible through the generosity and participation of OGS families.

Each year, the PTA funds approximately $300 per student to support programs and experiences such as:

• Curriculum Enrichment
• Teacher Grants
• Field Trips
• Assemblies
• School and Community Events
• Student Programs and Activities
• Classroom and School Enhancements

These are the experiences that bring learning to life, support our teachers, build community, and help make OGS feel like OGS.

We're asking you to consider giving what the PTA spends on your child each year

As you renew your PTA membership, we kindly ask families who are able to consider making a $300 contribution per student.

Your support helps ensure that the programs and experiences OGS students have enjoyed in years past can continue for every child this year.

Every membership matters. Every contribution makes a difference. And volunteering is always optional.
